Just Hanging Out & Relaxing

This is our last full day in Florida. Ariana & I are just hanging out and relaxing. Ariana has done some shopping and I have been haging out at Starbucks logging some geocaches that I have done in the area. Were glad to be coming home tomorrow. We miss everyone and we really miss Roxy, Oreo, & Recces. Here are some pics of where we spend our time on the internet and updating our blog. The Florida Aquarium and American Victory WWII Merchant Ship

Today we travel downtown Tampa and went to the aquarium where we saw some sharks, mischief penguins you will see pictures of why I call them that later. Their were alligators their as well. It didn't take us long to go through the aquarium and we had so much fun but the most fun we had at the aquarium was seeing the penguins. Their names were Sonny and Rocco they walked along this carpet that was laid down for them to walk on but we were not allowed to touch them which was sad because I wanted to pet them. With the penguins walking around and we sat only inches away you get great picture opportunities being so close. The reason why I called the penguins mischiefs is because today they were and I mean they were into everything just about they were chewing on Rob's shoe laces, pulling on my purse and even getting into it, I don't know what they were looking for maybe some money to get out of the aquarium.

After the aquarium we headed to this WWII merchant ship called the American Victory that is still full operational today and they take it out twice a year the last trip that it sailed was May 16, 2009 and it takes 2 days for it to get all ready. For the ship to sail they put 50 barrels of oil for the ship. The ship was built in 55 days and was built to bring back cargo that was used for the war. It also sailed during the Korean & Vietnam War as well.

Our Day In Clearwater

Today we decided to take a drive and see the Gulf of Mexico, so we headed to Clearwater, Florida right along the Gulf of Mexico. What we did was walk along the white sandy beach, went to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and did some shopping at the local mall with a ice skate rink right in the middle of it. We left about 8:30pm in the evening and came home about 9:40pm. Made some chicken and headed for bed to start our next day with some type of outing on Tuesday.

2 day Sea World Trip

On Saturday we left Daytona Beach and headed to Sea World in Orlando. We figured that since it's on our way back to the Tampa area we would hit it and then head back home. Once we got to Sea World around 1pm we found out that we can get a 2nd day free so we didn't rush through our first time at Sea World because it's so big and their is so much to see. We had a wonderful time both days. I rode their new roller coaster called Manta that makes you ride on your back, today I took a video of the ride and it's so much more different than any other ride at Cedar Point I would still ride it again. On day 2 to Sea World we got there about noon and saw a show called wild things that shows you animals from around the world. We had lunch and saw all of the shows from the cats and dogs to the Shamu show. We had such a long 2 days but we enjoyed every minute of it. We even managed to ride the water ride called The Journey to Atlantis to end our day at Sea World Orlando. We would definitely come back again and spend a few more days in Orlando.

Daytona Beach

Today we started out heading down to Daytona Beach for a small little honeymoon get away from Tampa. When we arrived immediately headed out to walk along the beach of our hotel the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront hotel right along the water it's absolutely beautiful down here. Tonight we ate dinner at the Chart House Restaurant which over looks the Marina in Daytona Beach. I asked for a waterfront view specifically because we don't see this a lot in OHIO because this time of year it's cold and is getting ready to snow in a few months. Rob and I are enjoying ourselves a lot and are having so much fun planning our day accordingly.

Our First Golf Outing

Ariana & I woke up today wondering what we were going to do for the day. I suggested we tried some golf. I mean it's Florida and the state is known for it's golf courses. I asked Ariana if she had any ideas on where to go. She suggested World Woods. We did the short course where the majority of the 9 holes were 3 and 4 par. We kept score but I didn't do so good so I'll save the embarrassment of posting my score. I think Ariana beat me but we were playing for fun. I wanted to see if I could keep up with her. The positive thing out of our golf outing is that we didn't lose any golf balls. Once we were done we grabbed some lunch in the club house. Ariana had a hot dog and I had a buffalo chicken wrap. Once we were done we headed back home and I made some steaks and potatoes for dinner. It was the season premier of Survivor on CBS so we watched that and headed to bed for the night.

The Tampa Lowry Park Zoo

Today we went to the Tampa Zoo and had so much fun see all of the different animals that they don't have in Cleveland and we even pet a camel and fed a giraffe. We are having so much fun in Tampa. Last night we made dinner and hopped in to the pool and just relaxed with the car having so much problems we are planning to head to Daytona Beach tomorrow. I forgot to pack my camera charger so Rob's mom is mailing it over night and we should have it tomorrow by 3pm.

On our way to Florida

Well it's September 15th. We took a day off after the wedding to relax, pack for our vacation, & clean the house. Our day began by waking up at 6:30am. We stayed at my mom's house because she was driving us to the airport. When we got there we saw Donny and Scott. They were yelling "Bob Ross...Bob Ross" & "There's the lovebirds..." We were in the security checkpoint line and while everyone got through I was held up for about 10 minutes. The TSA lady said I had too much hair gel & toothpast. I told her I liked to brush my teeth a lot and I needed a ton of hair gel to hide all of my grey hair. Instead of holding up the trip I told her to take it home because she could probably use it. There was a officer there and asked me if I had metal pins in my knees or a metal plate in my head. I told him sometimes I feel like there is a plate somewhere. The picture here shows Ariana & myself right after I got cleared from secuity. We said goodbye to Donny and Scott at that point. Once we got to gate 23C we saw they were boarding the plane. We just got there in time. Once we got on the plane we were finally off on our vacation. We landed in Tampa 2 hours and 8 minutes later.
